About the Open Space Advisory Committee
The Missoula City Council is seeking applications for volunteers to serve on the Open Space Advisory Committee (OSAC). The terms for the positions begin on January 26, 2017 and ends on January 25, 2019. The following non-paying positions are open:
• Three members that are qualified electors (registered to vote) and either reside in the City limits or within a four and a half mile radius of the City limits.
OSAC is charged with doing everything in its power to implement the Missoula Urban Area Open Space Plan. The committee provides the City Council with written recommendations concerning open space conservation proposals, including proposed acquisitions and trail development proposals, pursuant to the guidance of the Missoula 2006 Updated Open Space Plan adopted by the City.
Applicants for the board will interview with the City Council's Parks & Conservation Committee. The committee meets monthly.
Applications can be picked up at the City Clerk Office, City Hall, 435 Ryman St., second floor.
