Conservation Lands Advisory Committee (CLAC)
The Missoula Parks and Recreation Board is seeking applicants to fill a volunteer position on the Conservation Lands Advisory Committee (CLAC). CLAC is a subcommittee of the Missoula Parks and Recreation Board and is subject to all of its rules and regulations. This committee makes recommendations on and oversees the implementation of the Missoula Conservation Lands Management Plan and the 1955 Greenough Park Decree; which govern the management of over 4000ac. of public Conservation Lands surrounding the Missoula Valley. Applicants with background or interest in ecology, wildlife biology, botany, silviculture, recreation resource management, wildland restoration, education, and other specialties are being sought to fill the vacant position. Appointment is by the Missoula Parks and Recreation Board.
Residents residing within the Missoula Open Space Boundary (roughly 3-miles outside the City limits) may apply for this position. The CLAC will meet at least 6 - 7 times a year plus attend at least one field trip. The CLAC will meet as needed, no more than once per month, September through April only. Meetings will be held Monday evenings, 4 - 6 p.m., or at a time determined by the group.

Applications must be received by the Parks and Recreation Department by Friday, October 18, 2019, at 5:00 pm. If you would like to drop off your application you may also leave it with the Mayor's Office.
