Missoula Urban Transportation District Board

Mayor John Engen is seeking an applicant to serve on the Missoula Urban Transportation District Board (MUTD).

The purpose of the MUTD board of directors is to set policy for Mountain Line, Missoula‚Äôs public transit agency, and guide the agency in its vision to be an essential public transportation provider in the urban area. 

he MUTD board believes that our community can meet the goal of reducing vehicle miles traveled.  By increasing the use of public transit, improving transportation options, creating strong incentives for using modes of transportation that reduce congestion, MUTD hopes to improve community health and quality of life in our multi-county, multi-modal transportation system in the western Montana region.  Please visit the board's page for more information.

Qualifications include being a registered voter in the State of Montana.  The board meets on the fourth Thursday of each month at the MUTD office, located at 1221 Shakespeare, at noon. Applicant will fill a vacated term that expires December 31, 2018.
