The City of Missoula and our ZERO by FIFTY team is excited to debut the four plan "Paths" or focus areas of the forthcoming ZERO by FIFTY plan, along with supporting strategies at an Open House and online to the public for comment:
The four focus areas, or Paths to Zero Waste in Missoula are: Access, Infrastructure, Education and Policy. These paths and related strategies came into focus from studying best practices in other communities, and from YOU via our three Community Listening Sessions hosted in March.
We're excited to put detail this foundation, but wanted to give the community one more chance to share your great ideas and feedback. Please click on the links below to review strategies and provide comment.
The comment period will be open from October 6th - October 27th.
When: Thursday, October 12
Where: Home ReSource Community Room 1515 Wyoming Street
Time: 5-8 p.m.
The Open House is designed to for citizens to have the opportunity to learn about the ZERO by FIFTY plan framework, engage with City staff to further shape the plan and initiative and provide comment before the final draft is written. The event is a true Open House and citizens are encouraged to drop in anytime between 5 and 8 p.m. to participate and comment.
Zero Waste means designing and managing products and processes to systematically avoid and eliminate the volume and toxicity of waste and materials, conserve and recover all resources, and not burn or bury them.Presentation
