Planning Board Volunteers Needed

MISSOULA PLANNING BOARD


 
The City Council is seeking applications for two volunteers to serve on the Missoula Planning Board. 
The following non-paying positions are open.

  • Two (2) regular members 
  • One (1) alternate who votes in the absences of a City appointee
The Planning Board holds public hearings and provides recommendations to the City and County governing bodies on adoption and amendments to growth policies, zoning regulations, and subdivision regulations.  They also hear and make recommendations on zoning and rezoning requests and major subdivision proposals located in both the City and County.

Qualifications include residency within the city limits and an interest in and knowledge of community planning.

The board meets monthly on the first and third Tuesday. The term date for the positions begin January 1, 2018 and ends on December 31, 2019.

Applications may also be picked up at the City Clerk Office at City Hall, 435 Ryman.

Applications are due on November 22, 2017 at 5 pm.
